Why Narin Şen Kaya, CPA?
Liquidation is a technical process with statutory waiting periods and interdependent stages, and a missed step can cause problems years later. At SMMM Narin Şen Kaya, we walk you through each stage in advance and plan clearly which decisions need to be made and when. We communicate one-on-one with partners and the liquidator, and we follow up on correspondence with the authorities, turning closure into a predictable process rather than an uncertain one.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a company liquidation take?
The timeline depends on the company's assets and liabilities, the waiting periods required by law after creditors are notified, and processing times at the relevant authorities. For that reason, it would not be accurate to quote a fixed duration. At the outset, we prepare a realistic timetable specific to your company and keep you informed at every stage.
What happens if I leave a dormant company open?
Even without any activity, a registered company still has filing and notification obligations. Failing to meet them can lead to tax penalties and various liabilities for partners and directors. If a company will not continue operating, closing it properly through liquidation is by far the safer option in the long run, and it gives everyone involved a clean, final end point.
Who is the liquidator and what do they do?
The liquidator is the person appointed by the general assembly to carry out the liquidation, often one of the partners or a director. They are responsible for converting the company's assets into cash, paying its debts, inviting creditors to come forward and distributing any remaining assets to the partners. We provide financial and technical support to the liquidator throughout.
