Frequently asked questions

We have gathered the questions clients ask most. If you cannot find your answer, feel free to contact us directly.

Should I set up a sole proprietorship or a limited company?

It depends on expected profit, liability, partnership plans and growth goals. In an introductory meeting we review your activities and figures together and recommend the structure that suits you best.

What is needed to set up a limited company in Turkey?

Generally: articles of association, partner and director details, a capital commitment, a MERSİS application, trade registry registration and tax office procedures. We confirm current capital and document requirements before formation and handle the process end to end.

How are accounting fees determined?

Fees depend on the type of business, document and transaction volume, number of employees and any additional services, and cannot be below the professional chamber's annual minimum tariff. After discussing the scope we provide a written proposal.

Which tax returns do I need to file, and when?

Depending on your activities you may have VAT, withholding and social security, provisional tax and annual income or corporate tax obligations. Deadlines are set by law and can change; we keep track of the whole calendar for you.

Do I have to switch to e-invoicing?

The obligation depends on criteria such as turnover, sector and e-commerce activity, and thresholds are updated periodically. We review your situation, tell you whether it applies and plan a smooth voluntary or mandatory transition.

How do I hand over my documents?

You can send documents digitally by email or WhatsApp, or drop them off at our office. For businesses using e-invoice and e-archive, most invoices already reach us electronically.

How long must I keep books and documents?

The Tax Procedure Law and the Turkish Commercial Code set retention periods for books and documents, and in practice long-term retention is required. We help you set up a suitable archive.

Is it difficult to change accountants?

No. Books, documents and records are handed over from your current accountant through a formal handover in line with professional rules. We coordinate the handover for you so that nothing is interrupted.

What should I do when I start hiring employees?

The employee's social security (SGK) registration must be filed within the legal period, usually before they start work. Payroll, premium filings and any incentive applications then follow regularly; we manage every step for you.

Can foreigners set up a company in Turkey?

Yes. Foreign individuals and companies can generally establish companies in Turkey under the same principles as local investors. We guide you through formation, tax registration and ongoing compliance, in English.

Let's build the right financial structure for your business.

Book an introductory meeting to discuss your activities and needs, and we will define the most suitable scope of service together.
